Jamaican star Shelley-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica has made history by winning her fifth 100m world title on Sunday and Team USA claimed other titles in Eugene.

The 35year-Old mother, led from gun to ribbon in an amazing age-defying sprint with a championship record of 10.67seconds.

Shericka Jackson won the silver medal with a best time of 10.73seconds, while four-time Olympic sprint champion Elaine Thompson-Herah (10.81 seconds) won the bronze medal. This is the first time a championship, just a women’s 100m medal at the world championships, just a day after Fred Keeley led the US in the men’s 100m.

”It was definitely something on the cards,” said Fraser-Pryce on the potential sweep. ”I’m glad I was the one who finished first in the sweep and I’m glad the other ladies came through and we were able to celebrate the 1-2-3.
