Giant tortoise on the track stops Norwich to Stansted trains

Giant tortoise on the track on Monday caused Greater Anglia rail trains to come to a halt in south-eastern England.

Greater Anglia Rail reported on Twitter that trains between Norwich and Stansted airports were suspended for more than an hour due to a ”giant tortoise”.

Diane Akers, who took the train to Norwich, posted a photo of the turtle standing on the track after lunch and told the railroad company: “Alive but injured.”

There’s  seem to be a big scar on the tortoise shell from the picture posted

“I couldn’t believe my eyes to be honest!” Akers indicated.

A Greater Angles agent named George later wrote that the tortoise had been injured and taken to a specialized treatment team. “We have been informed that he will make a full recovery,” the consultant said.

Passenger Lydia Jane White tweeted: “‘Train delayed because of a giant tortoise, too heavy to lift, stuck on the train tracks after having escaped from a local wildlife centre’ is not something I thought I’d ever hear from a train driver!”

Trains reopened about an hour and a half later, but more delays were expected.

Martina Voss-Tecklenburg’s side were oblivious of Popp’s presence in the box but a brutal physical collision led to a goalless score in the first half.

Toone opened the scoring shortly after the hour mark with a beautiful chipped finish, moments after coming on as a substitute.

However, that was cancelled out by Magull who fired in an equaliser from close range 17 minutes later after the hosts had been pushed back by their opponents.

The match finished 1-1 after 90 minutes to take it into extra time where the atmosphere died down a little as the thought of Germany winning a record-extending ninth Euros crown at the home of English football began to permeate.

That was until the 110th minute when Kelly, who had moments before urged the crowd to raise their voices and cheer the side on. reacted quickest to stab in the winner and inflict Germany’s first defeat in a major final.

“It doesn’t seem real. I’m buzzing my head off. Honestly the best moment of my career, best moment of my life. I’m so proud to be a part of this group.” Toone stated.

Drone saves the life of a drowning boy on a Spanish beach.

Lifeguard drone saves the life of a 14-year-old boy who almost drowned in Valencia, Spain.

The boy while battling strong waves on the beach, the drone dropped a jacket, which helped the boy stay afloat until a real rescue team arrived on the scene.

“When we arrived what we saw was a kid that was in very bad shape, with almost no energy to keep floating, so we sent over the life vest,” the drone pilot for General Drones, Miguel Angel Pedrero, told Reuters.

“Because of the heavy waves it was a complicated manoeuvre, but we finally managed to give him the vest and he could float until the lifeguards reached him by jet ski.”

“These extra seconds are vital in some cases and also allows the rescue teams to approach the person more calmly and cautiously.” Pedrero added.

A spokesman for SunExpress told Turkish media that the incident was “completely unacceptable,”.

The airline and food supplier contracts are currently on hold and an investigation has been launched.

The airline said in an interview with The Independent that maintaining the highest level of quality of service we provide to passengers on our aircraft is “our top priority” and ensures a comfortable and safe flight for both passengers and staff.

However, the seller denied that the snake’s head could have come from anywhere.

The relatively fresh-looking snake head may have been added later because the food according to the catering company, was cooked at 280 degrees Celsius

Ukraine War: Russia denies the cause of the global food crisis.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov dismissed claims that Moscow is causing a global food crisis.

He in a conversation with the Arab ambassador in Cairo said that Western countries were deforming the truth about the impact of sanctions on global food security.

He accused Western countries of trying to enforce their dominance on others.

Much of the Arab world and parts of Africa have been hit hard by the grain shortages caused by Russia’s war in Ukraine.

A groundbreaking agreement signed on Friday to resume grain exports from Ukraine after Russia attacked a target in the port of Odessa on Saturday brought the balance under control.

Lavrov said the West’s “aggression” to impose sanctions on Russia suggests a simple conclusion. “This is not about Ukraine, this is about the future of the world order.

“They say everybody must support a rules-based world order, and the rules are written depending on what specific situation the West wants to resolve in its own favour.”

Egypt had strong ties with Russia, which supplied grain, weapons and many tourists before the invasion of Ukraine.

After conversing with Shoukry, Lavrov said at a joint press conference that the West understands, but drags out the conflict “what and whose end it will be”.

For him, this is the first leg of a short trip through Africa, including Ethiopia, Uganda and Congo-Brazzaville.

Lavrov said in an article in a local newspaper before the trip that his country has always  “sincerely supported Africans in their struggle for freedom from the colonial yoke”.

He added that Russia appreciated Africans’ “balanced position” on the issue of Ukraine.

He tacked that Western sanctions imposed on Russia exacerbated the “negative dynamics” in international food markets due to the coronavirus pandemic.

 Grain is stuck in Ukraine.

Customarily, Ukraine and Russia supply more than 40% of Africa’s wheat, the African Development Bank says.

Egypt generally consumes a lot of Ukrainian grain. It imported 3.62 million tons in 2019, more than any other country.

However, Lavrov  in his article dismissed allegations that Russia was “exporting hunger” and denounced Western propaganda.

Lavrov will visit three African countries to rally support at the height of the war.

Egyptian court demands live broadcast of woman’s execution.

To reduce the number of killings, an Egyptian court has called for the law to be amended to allow live broadcasts of the executions of student killers on Sunday.

Last month, Mohamed Adel was convicted of the “planned murder” of student Nayera Ashraf, who turned down his offer.

The nobility was convicted by a criminal court in Mansoura, 130 km north of Cairo.

He asked legislators to revise the death penalty law so that executions could be broadcast live.

The court said in a letter to Congress that “the broadcast, even if only part of the start of proceedings, could achieve the goal of deterrence, which was not achieved by broadcasting the sentencing itself.”

When a video of Ashraf being stabbed to death in front of a university in Mansour in June went viral, Egyptians reacted badly online.

Egypt, which had the third-highest number of executions in the world in 2021, uses the death penalty as the death penalty for murder, according to Amnesty International.

However, executions are rarely carried out or broadcast publicly. The execution in 1998 of three men for killing a woman and two children in their home in Cairo was a rare case that was broadcast on state television.

The genocide of women in Egypt has caused great outrage in recent months. The death of TV presenter  Shaimaa Gamal in June caused a stir in North African countries.

In March, a teenager was sentenced to five years in prison for suicide of a girl after a photo of the girl was posted online.

Patriarchal laws and a strict interpretation of Islam in Egypt make it difficult for women to exercise their rights. A 2015 UN study found that nearly 8 million Egyptian women have been victims of violence by partners, family members or strangers in public.

Toby Amusan of Nigeria wins the gold medal in the 100m hurdles at the World Championships.

Nigerian Toby Amusan won the gold medal in the 100m hurdles with a world record of 12.06, originally entered at the World Championships on Sunday, but was later ruled unable to compete due to wind speeds exceeding legal limits.

Amusan broke the world record 12:12 in the semi-finals at Hayward Field last Sunday.

After recovering from a slower start, she cleared the barrier 0.17 seconds ahead of silver medalist Brittany Anderson of Jamaica.

“The goal was to come out and to win this gold.” said Amusan.

“I believe in my abilities but I was not expecting a world record at these championships. You know, the goal is always just to execute well and get the win. So the world record is a bonus.”

Olympic gold medalist Camacho Quinn of Puerto Rico accelerated halfway through but faced Anderson in the final after she made it through the final to win the bronze medal at the inaugural World Championships.

“I got my nerves to be honest. It kind of showed on my face but I am just glad to come out here,” said Camacho-Quinn. From this point on, it is only going to be faster … I think we had the best event of the whole world champs.”

Anderson told reporters that she hit some hurdles but was pleased with her performance.

“I feel like everyone is so excited now,” she said. “I came out here to do what I had to do and I did it.”

In the final, 2019 champion Nia Ali and US medalist Alaysha Johnson were eliminated after going over obstacles and falling in the first round. U.S. silver medalist Kendra Harrison, who broke Amusan’s 2016 record in the semi-finals, was disqualified.

Amusan’s world record in the semi-final shocked the world of athletics. “Wow,” 200m champion Noah Lyles ttweete: “Are you kidding me?”

Amusan said she was surprised to reach the semi-finals but knew what he needed. “I couldn’t believe it when I saw it on screen after the semi-finals, but it was only a matter of time,” she told reporters.

Gabriel Jesus scores a goal after Arsenal beat Chelsea 4-0 in pre-season.

Gabriel Jesus continued his impressive pre-season form by scoring another goal after Arsenal beat Chelsea 4-0 in a friendly in Florida on Saturday.

Joining Arsenal from Manchester City earlier this month, Jesus scored four goals in three appearances for his new club in front of 63,811 fans at Camping World Stadium in Orlando to win for the Gunners.

Another encouraging performance from Mikel Arteta’s side who took the lead with two goals in the first half after dominating the first 45 minutes.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel could not hide his anger at the team’s poor first half, which was repeatedly subjected to deft counter-attacks from Arsenal.

Chelsea pulled off a promising attack in just five minutes when new player Raheem Sterling sent Timo Werner into space, but French defender William Saliba eliminated the threat with solid cover.

Arsenal should have started scoring right after Gabriel Martinelli exploded at half-time. The Brazilian crossed for Bukayo Saka, but his shot was blocked by Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

Arsenal’s pressure finally paid off in the 15th minute after Chelsea’s Nathaniel Chalobah sent the ball home with a mistake straight for Granit Xhaka.

The Swiss international gave a good ball to Jesus, who for the first time calmly beat the fast Mendy and made the score 1:0. Martin Odegaard made it 2-0 for the Gunners  with another great performance in the 36th minute.

Paz Martinelli found the Norwegian playmaker in Chelsea’s space and the attacking midfielder spun neatly and shot below Mendy.

Chelsea’s best chance in a sluggish first half was when Mason Mount beat Aaron Ramedale in extra time but was brought down by Aaron Ramsdale who fired from the edge of the box but hit the post.

Arsenal extended the lead halfway through the second half when Saka hit a close-range home run after Mendy blocked Xhaka’s long-range shot.

Arsenal continued to create chances but had to wait until extra time for Albert Sambi Lokonga to score the fourth goal from a header  past  Mendy from a cross from Portugal international Cedric.
