The African Football Federation (CAF) has announced that Morocco will host the Women’s Champions League in 2022.
CAF has announced that it has opened the bidding process for the tournament twice but has received only one offer from the North African country.
“The Executive Committee, therefore, resolved to award the competition to Morocco as the only bidder,” CAF said in a statement.
The Ampem Darkoa Ladies are looking to represent Ghana in this year’s competition after defeating the Hasaacas Ladies for the Ghana Women’s Premier League title in June.
The Hasaacas ladies represented their country in the first edition of 2021 and reached the final.
The 2021 competition was held in Egypt and the championship was won by the Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa.
